design your own instruments.
Every instrument, with the exception of an eight string,
may be equipped with a fourth course G fixed with a 0.029" wire-wrapped

The four string Soprano has been and will always
be the classic vision of what a 'ukulele is. It's
small size corresponds with the many players of yesteryear
who made the 'ukulele so famous. Our Soprano 'ukuleles'
have been designed to have superior sound and projection.
To achieve this we have created our own unique body
style with a wider lower bout ('uha or hip) and a
slightly longer body yet still carries the classic
13 and 1/2 inch Soprano scale.

Koa concert four string is considered to be the
most popular 'ukulele. Most advanced players choose
the concert because of its bigger scale over the
standard (soprano) size. All of our concert size
'ukuleles come with a 3/4 inch wider lower bout (uha
or hip). By using an 8 and 1/16-inch lower bout,
this makes for a rich, full sounding, concert size
instrument.

The Koa 8-string
tenor is definitely at the top for sound and projection.
When playing an 8-string tenor, every mele (song)
sounds so much sweeter. The instrument is strung
with octave pairs in the G (forth) course and C (third)
course. The E (second) and A (first) course are both
at standard tuning. The 8-string tenor is usually
for the advanced player, although we have built many
8-stringed instruments for customers who soon find
out the benefits of playing a beautiful sounding
'ukulele.

The
Super Tenor 'ukulele is our own unique design. This
instrument carries a 17-inch tenor scale and a body
with a lower bout that is one and 1/2 inches wider
than a regular tenor. This combination of body and
scale gives this 'ukulele excellent tone and projection.
The Super Tenor's design supports any of the string
combinations mentioned earlier on this page. Shown
on the left is a six string with a double octave
C and A course.

The Baritone 'ukulele is the most
unique in the 'ukulele family. They carry a 22
inch scale and fallow the same tuning as the first
four courses of a guitar. Because of their similarities
to the guitar, Baritone 'ukuleles are very popular
guitar and banjo players.
